Ten Long Days

After ten long days in the hospital, four of which were spent in the ICU, Nicholas is finally back home!! He was admitted to the hospital after I just happened to put his name down at the emergency room when taking Nathan to get some fluids for dehydration from the flu. The doctors tested Nicholas and discovered he had RSV and very low oxygen levels. A little cough turned out to be something real bad. After two days in the regular room, he worsened and was put in intensive care. Four days of holding and rocking him (literally, I never put him down), he started to get better. The doctors warned that he was borderline for intubation, but he pulled through and did it on his own! He is now home and playing and "walking" and of course, voicing his complaints about the two new molars coming in! Only seven more days until vacation in Florida which we all so badly need now!!

First Time

I've been bad blogging ever since I learned about Facebook! I need to keep up with my photos of the boys. These past two weeks have been about firsts....Nathan's first time ice skating and his first snowman...and this past weekend was Nicholas' first birthday! It has been so much fun watching them experience new things. I can't believe how fast the year has gone by..my Nicholas is getting to be a big boy!
